Sengoku Komachi Kurōtan #9

Sengoku Komachi Kurōtan is a historical fantasy manga series written by Kyōichi and illustrated by Futaba Masato. The series began serialization in 2017, rooted in the popular isekai subgenre where a modern protagonist is transported to a historical setting. In this instance, a young agricultural high school student finds herself in the Sengoku period, utilizing her knowledge of modern farming techniques to assist the historical warlord Oda Nobunaga in unifying Japan.

The ninth volume continues the established aesthetic of the series, which blends meticulous period detail with a lighthearted, character-focused artistic style. Futaba Masato's illustration work is noted for its clean lines and focus on contrasting the protagonist's modern sensibility with the brutal and shifting landscape of 16th-century Japan. The series has been well-received for its unique premise, focusing on agricultural logistics and societal reform rather than traditional martial combat.
