Shàngbān Zújīn Tàiláng #28

Shàngbān Zújīn Tàiláng, known internationally as Salaryman Kintaro, is a long-running seinen manga series created by Hiroshi Motomiya. Issue #28 belongs to the original serialized run, which began in Weekly Young Jump in 1994. The series follows the life of Kintaro Yajima, a former biker gang leader who enters the corporate world, using his unconventional background and street-smart instincts to navigate the rigid structures of Japanese salaryman culture.

Hiroshi Motomiya designed the series as a social commentary on the changing landscape of Japanese business in the 1990s, blending action, drama, and idealism. The protagonist's defiance of tradition and his dedication to integrity resonated deeply with a generation of readers feeling stifled by economic stagnation. The series became a cultural phenomenon, praised for its aspirational narrative and eventually inspiring both a live-action film and television adaptations.
