Shikimori es Más Que una Cara Bonita #15

Shikimori es Más Que una Cara Bonita, known in Japan as Kawaii dake ja Nai Shikimori-san, is a romantic comedy manga series created by Keigo Maki. First serialized in 2019, the series gained popularity for its subversion of traditional shonen romance tropes, focusing on the dynamic between the clumsy Izumi and his girlfriend, Shikimori, who acts as his protective and cool-headed guardian. Volume 15 represents a late-stage installment in the series, reflecting the narrative progression toward the characters' final years of high school.

The character design and visual style are central to the manga's appeal, emphasizing the contrast between Shikimori's gentle aesthetic and her assertive, confident expressions when shielding Izumi from danger. Keigo Maki’s clean, expressive linework became a hallmark of the series, earning praise for its ability to balance comedic timing with sentimental moments. By the time volume 15 was released, the manga had firmly established its place within the genre, leading to a successful anime adaptation that brought broader international visibility to the print volumes.
