Shiunji-ke no Kodomotachi #10

Shiunji-ke no Kodomotachi, written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima, began serialization in Young Animal in 2022. The series explores the complex and often humorous dynamics of the seven Shiunji siblings, who discover after the death of their father that they are not biological siblings, fundamentally shifting their relationships and house dynamic. The work serves as a thematic pivot for Miyajima, moving away from his previous romantic comedy tropes into a more focused exploration of domestic tension and sibling entanglement.

The character designs and narrative tone reflect Miyajima's characteristic art style, emphasizing expressive facial features and detailed interior settings to convey the claustrophobic yet endearing nature of the Shiunji household. Issue 10 continues the series' established visual language, maintaining the polished aesthetic that has defined the manga's run. It has been received as a notable entry in the modern seinen romance genre, appreciated for its distinct premise and the escalating character developments that define the siblings' journey.
