Spider-Woman #47

Spider-Woman number 47, published in March 1983, serves as one of the final installments in the original Jessica Drew series. Emerging during a transitional period for Marvel Comics, the issue reflects the era's experimentation with darker, more mature storytelling tones as the publisher began to wind down several long-running titles to make way for new creative directions.

The cover art and interior narrative are characteristic of the early 1980s house style, emphasizing the character's struggle to balance her complex past as a Hydra operative with her identity as a superhero. While this issue remains a relatively niche piece of comic history, it is valued by completists for its role in the wrap-up of the initial Jessica Drew arc before the character underwent significant hiatuses and reboots in subsequent decades.
