Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: The Seeds of Salvation #1

Released in 2024 by IDW Publishing, this issue serves as a canonical bridge between the second and third seasons of the television series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. The narrative was crafted by writers Kirsten Beyer and Mike Johnson, who have been instrumental in expanding the Star Trek literary universe. It was designed to address lingering plot threads from the show, providing fans with character-driven storytelling that maintains the aesthetic and thematic tone of the televised production.

The visual presentation is characterized by the work of artist Megan Levens, whose approach prioritizes character likenesses and the sleek, retro-futuristic production design synonymous with the 23rd-century setting of the U.S.S. Enterprise. Upon its release, the issue was received as a welcomed expansion of the Strange New Worlds brand, praised for its ability to capture the distinct voices of the ensemble cast while effectively translating the series' cinematic episodic structure into the medium of sequential art.
