Star Wars Legends: Legacy Omnibus #1

Released by Dark Horse Comics, the Legacy series originally debuted in 2006 as part of the Star Wars Expanded Universe. Set over a century after the events of the original film trilogy, the narrative follows Cade Skywalker, a bounty hunter struggling with his Jedi lineage. The series was spearheaded by writers John Ostrander and Jan Duursema, who sought to break away from the constraints of the established film era to explore a darker, more uncertain future for the galaxy.

The Omnibus collection gathers these foundational issues into a single archival volume, preserving the distinct visual aesthetic defined by Duursema’s pencils. The work is widely regarded for its gritty tone and its willingness to challenge the traditional dichotomy of the Jedi and the Sith. Upon its release, the series earned acclaim from fans for its complex characterizations and for successfully expanding the Star Wars lore into a previously uncharted temporal territory.
