Strange Adventures #3

Strange Adventures number three was published by DC Comics in December 1950, emerging during the formative years of the Silver Age of comics. As part of a pioneering anthology series that favored science fiction and extraterrestrial encounters over traditional superhero narratives, this issue served as a vehicle for the burgeoning public interest in space travel and UFO phenomena that defined the post-war era.

The interior art and cover were produced by contributors typical of the DC stable during this period, emphasizing clean, accessible line work and high-concept storytelling. The title functioned as an experimental laboratory for DC, allowing writers and artists to push beyond established tropes; while it was received as a standard newsstand title at the time, it is now viewed as an important representative of the mid-century transition toward high-concept genre fiction.
