Teigakusei Otto no "Kodzukai Banzai": Getsugaku 2-Mansenen no Kinketsu Life #10

Teigakusei Otto no Kodzukai Banzai, created by manga artist Kichi, debuted as a relatable exploration of the domestic and financial realities faced by middle-aged Japanese salarymen. The series centers on the author's own life as a husband living on a strictly limited monthly allowance of 20,000 yen, highlighting the creative frugality required to maintain personal interests while managing household expenses. Issue number 10 continues the series' signature blend of self-deprecating humor and sociological observation, serving as a serialized chronicle of the everyday austerity inherent in this specific lifestyle.

The design and tone of the series are grounded in the tradition of the autobiographical essay manga. Kichi employs a straightforward, accessible illustration style that emphasizes the character's mundane struggles, from seeking out discount meals to navigating the social pressures of a limited budget. Since its introduction, the series has resonated with readers who find comfort and humor in its depiction of modest living, with the tenth volume reinforcing the author's reputation for finding comedic value in the repetitive constraints of a tight budget.
