Where it came from
Tensei Shitara Dai Nana Ōji Datta no de, Kimama ni Majutsu wo Kiwamemasu, known in English as I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability, began as a light novel series written by Kenkyo na Circle before being adapted into a manga illustrated by Yosuke Kokuzawa. The series centers on a protagonist who retains his memories of a previous life and dedicates his new existence as a prince to the obsessive study of magic. The manga adaptation is serialized in Magazine Pocket, where it has gained a dedicated following for its dynamic action sequences and elaborate magical designs.
Issue number 24 serves as a segment of this ongoing serialization, reflecting the aesthetic established by Kokuzawa's art style, which balances traditional shonen tropes with detailed depictions of spellcasting. The work is representative of the modern isekai genre, specifically focusing on the power fantasy trope of an overpowered protagonist. It has been well-received within its niche for its visually engaging combat scenes and the whimsical personality of the lead character, contributing to the series' transition into a television anime adaptation.
