The Amazing Spider-Man #282

The Amazing Spider-Man #282 was published by Marvel Comics in November 1986, arriving during a transitional period for the title following the conclusion of major story arcs. This issue serves as a notable entry in the long-running series, featuring the writing of Tom DeFalco and the artistic contributions of Rick Leonardi. The creative direction at the time focused on balancing Peter Parker’s grounded personal struggles with the high-stakes, action-oriented narratives typical of the mid-80s Marvel aesthetic.

Rick Leonardi’s pencil work on this issue is frequently praised by collectors for its expressive, kinetic quality, which distinguished his style from the more rigid house styles of the era. The issue is widely regarded by fans of the period as a solid example of the series' mid-80s output, reflecting the deliberate attempt by Marvel editorial to maintain narrative consistency and character development while managing an increasingly complex interconnected universe of stories.
