The Amazing Spider-Man #412

The Amazing Spider-Man #412 was published by Marvel Comics in May 1996 as part of the long-running series featuring the iconic wall-crawler. This period in the franchise's history was defined by the aftermath of the controversial Clone Saga, a massive narrative undertaking that sought to recontextualize Peter Parker's identity and history, leaving the editorial team and creative contributors tasked with stabilizing the character's status quo for new readers.

The issue features a story written by Tom DeFalco and illustrated by Mark Bagley, a duo synonymous with the visual and narrative language of the Spider-Man titles throughout the mid-1990s. Bagley’s energetic, fluid pencils were instrumental in defining the look of the character for a generation, and his work on this issue maintains that established aesthetic, focusing on the blend of high-stakes action and the grounded, human-interest conflicts that characterize the series' core appeal.
