The Brave and the Bold #92

The Brave and the Bold #92, published by DC Comics in 1970, stands as a notable entry in a long-running series that focused on team-ups between established DC characters. During this era, the title was primarily handled by writer Bob Haney, who was renowned for his experimental and often idiosyncratic approach to character dynamics, frequently placing heroes in high-stakes, unconventional situations that existed slightly outside the rigid continuity of the wider DC Universe.

This specific issue features cover art and interior illustration by veteran artist Neal Adams, whose work during this period is credited with modernizing the visual language of DC’s superheroes. Adams brought a cinematic sense of realism and dynamic anatomy to the characters, which helped elevate the prestige of the title. The issue was generally well-received by readers of the Bronze Age, as it showcased the popular pairing of Batman and Sgt. Rock, blending detective fiction with war-time grit.
