The Establishment #10

The Establishment was a comic book series published by WildStorm, an imprint of DC Comics, launching in 2001 as a spin-off of the long-running series The Authority. Created by writer Ian Edginton and artist Charlie Adlard, the series was designed to explore the shadowy, bureaucratic underpinnings of the WildStorm universe. It focused on a clandestine organization tasked with maintaining global stability through intelligence and tactical operations, serving as a darker, more grounded counterpart to the god-like power displays of their predecessors.

Issue #10, released in 2002, continued the series' exploration of political intrigue and moral ambiguity. Charlie Adlard provided a gritty, realistic aesthetic that contrasted sharply with the vibrant superhero style prevalent at the time, reflecting the title's emphasis on espionage rather than caped heroics. While the series was noted for its sharp dialogue and attempt to broaden the scope of the shared universe, it remains a niche piece of early 2000s comic history that concluded shortly after this issue's run.
