The Lady and Her Butler #3

The Lady and Her Butler, originally titled 'Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou' and later translated for North American audiences by Netcomics, is a webtoon created by the artist Kazumi Kazui. First appearing in digital formats during the mid-2000s, the series emerged from the burgeoning South Korean webtoon scene, which was shifting the landscape of serialized comics by prioritizing vertical, color-rich layouts designed for mobile reading.

The series focuses on the complex, evolving dynamic between a woman living in isolation and a mysterious man who enters her life to serve as her butler. Kazui’s artistic direction leans into a gentle, emotive aesthetic that emphasizes character intimacy and slow-burn narrative pacing. The work has been noted for its grounded take on human connection, avoiding the high-octane tropes of the era in favor of a nuanced exploration of solitude and care.
