The Rocketfellers #0

The Rocketfellers #0 serves as a promotional prologue to the broader independent comic series, designed to introduce the reader to the retro-futuristic aesthetic of the Rocketfellers family. Emerging from the mid-2000s independent publishing scene, the issue was crafted to establish the tone and visual language of a world blending mid-century modern sensibilities with speculative space-age technology. The design emphasizes clean lines and a vibrant color palette, characteristic of the era's attempt to revitalize classic pulp adventure tropes for a contemporary audience.

The creative team behind this series sought to capture the optimistic spirit of post-war science fiction, utilizing the number zero issue as a narrative bridge to build anticipation for the ongoing series. Within the independent comic community, the issue was received as a modest but stylistic entry point, praised primarily for its world-building and the consistency of its artistic direction. It occupies a niche space in modern comic history as a testament to the enduring appeal of optimistic space exploration narratives.
