Thomas Alsop #7

Thomas Alsop #7 is part of a supernatural mystery series published by Boom! Studios, created by writer Chris Roberson and artist P. Craig Russell. The series focuses on the titular character, a fifth-generation occultist tasked with protecting Manhattan from spectral threats. Launched in 2014, the comic is noted for its distinctive visual style, as Russell—a veteran artist celebrated for his work on The Sandman and various operatic adaptations—brings a refined, classic illustrative sensibility to the urban fantasy setting.

The narrative of Thomas Alsop is heavily steeped in New York City history, weaving occult fiction into the real-world political and social past of the metropolis. Each issue, including the seventh installment, reflects the creative team's intent to treat the city itself as a character, balancing historical inquiry with a supernatural procedural format. While the series was critically praised for its unique tone and sophisticated artwork, it remains a cult item, valued by collectors for its niche appeal and the collaborative effort between Roberson's world-building and Russell's intricate pen-and-ink aesthetics.
