Totsuzen Papa ni Natta Saikyou Dragon no Kosodate Nikki: Kawaii Musume, Honobono to Ningenkai Saikyou ni Sodatsu #1

Totsuzen Papa ni Natta Saikyou Dragon no Kosodate Nikki: Kawaii Musume, Honobono to Ningenkai Saikyou ni Sodatsu volume 1 serves as the inaugural print edition of the light novel series written by Ameko Kaeruda. Published by AlphaPolis in 2017, the story emerged during a period of sustained popularity for the fantasy slice-of-life subgenre in Japanese web literature. It follows a powerful dragon who unexpectedly finds himself raising a human child, blending high-fantasy stakes with the gentle, humorous rhythms of domestic life.

The visual identity of this volume was established through the character designs and illustrations by Sencha. These illustrations were crafted to emphasize the contrast between the intimidating, scaled form of the dragon and the delicate, endearing nature of his adoptive daughter, setting a whimsical tone for the series. Upon its release, the volume was well-received by readers seeking lighthearted narratives, ultimately leading to a successful manga adaptation that expanded the reach of the original story.
