Trumf-Serien #1

Trumf-Serien, published by Williams Forlag, emerged in the mid-1970s as a significant Norwegian anthology comic book series. It served as a vehicle to introduce and sustain various popular international comic strips for the Scandinavian market, often featuring a blend of humor, adventure, and classic newspaper-style panels that catered to a broad demographic of young readers.

The design of the series relied heavily on the established aesthetics of the licensed characters it carried, aiming for a consistent, accessible format that could sit easily on newsstand shelves. While individual issue covers often featured vibrant, action-oriented illustrations to grab attention, the series is remembered more as a functional staple of the Norwegian comic landscape during an era when foreign syndicates dominated local reading habits.
