Tsuma, Shōgakusei ni Naru. #9

Tsuma, Shōgakusei ni Naru., or If My Wife Becomes an Elementary School Student, is a manga series written and illustrated by Yayu Murata. The series began serialization in 2018 within the pages of Weekly Manga Times. It centers on a man whose wife passes away, only to be reincarnated as a ten-year-old girl, exploring complex themes of grief, familial bonds, and the persistence of love through a surreal, poignant lens.

The ninth volume represents a significant point in the narrative progression, reflecting Murata’s characteristic balance of gentle humor and melancholy. The character designs and narrative pacing are intended to bridge the gap between supernatural fantasy and grounded human drama. Upon its release, the volume contributed to the series' growing recognition, eventually leading to its adaptation into a live-action television drama, solidifying its place as a notable work of contemporary seinen manga.
