Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi #2

Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi was released during a late-nineties surge in supernatural-themed manga, tapping into a growing cultural fascination with traditional folklore blended with modern urban aesthetics. Issue number two arrived shortly after the series' debut, tasked with cementing the tone of the protagonist's recurring battles against spectral entities and establishing the central mystery that would drive the serialized narrative.

The character design and atmospheric panels were developed by an artist focused on high-contrast ink work, intended to emphasize the eerie, liminal spaces the exorcist occupies. While the series occupied a niche corner of the market, it was recognized by contemporary readers for its rhythmic pacing and a particular stylistic focus on the visual representation of spiritual energy, setting it apart from more action-heavy titles of the era.
