Ultraforce #6

Ultraforce #6 was published in 1994 as part of the Ultraverse imprint by Malibu Comics. The series was designed to showcase the publisher's flagship superhero team, aiming to offer a grittier, more modern alternative to the established aesthetics of the major comic book houses at the time. This particular issue arrived during a period of significant industry change, as Malibu sought to integrate its shared universe through high-stakes narrative crossovers.

The creative direction for this era of the series featured art and writing that emphasized the dynamic, cinematic action sequences popular in mid-90s superhero comics. While the Ultraverse was later acquired by Marvel, the initial run of Ultraforce remains a specific artifact of the independent comic boom, representing an attempt by Malibu to challenge industry leaders through bold character designs and interconnected storytelling.
