Vampire Dormitory #7

Vampire Dormitory, known in Japan as Vampire Danshiryo, is a popular shojo manga series created by Ema Toyama. The seventh volume continues the supernatural romance centered on Mito, a girl who disguises herself as a boy to live in a male dormitory, only to be discovered by a vampire named Ruka who takes her as his thrall. The series originated in Kodansha’s Nakayoshi magazine, reflecting Toyama's signature style of blending high-stakes emotional drama with lighthearted, often humorous tropes characteristic of the modern shojo genre.

Ema Toyama designed the series to explore themes of hidden identities and unconventional power dynamics within a boarding school setting. Volume 7 maintains the aesthetic standards of the preceding releases, featuring intricate, emotive character illustrations and a narrative pace that balances romantic tension with the ongoing magical mystery of the dormitory. Upon its release, the volume was well-received by the established fanbase, appreciated for its contribution to the ongoing character arcs and the continued refinement of Toyama’s detailed, expressive art style.
