Veil #7

Veil, published by Dark Horse Comics, emerged in 2014 as an atmospheric horror miniseries written by Greg Rucka with atmospheric art by Toni Fejzula. The project was conceived as a darker, psychological exploration of mythology and displacement, centering on a woman who awakens in an abandoned subway station with no memory of her identity or her past. The series was designed to lean into a somber, noir-inspired visual aesthetic, emphasizing shadows and the uncanny nature of the protagonist’s existence.

Issue #7 represents the conclusion of this limited run, providing the final resolution to the mystery of Veil’s origins. It was received by readers and critics as a moody, character-driven finale that favored emotional resonance over traditional superhero tropes. The artistic collaboration between Rucka and Fejzula was widely noted for its consistent tone, ensuring that the visual storytelling remained as unsettling and deliberate as the narrative itself throughout the entire duration of the series.
