Vidas Ilustres #172

Vidas Ilustres was a long-running biographical comic book series published by Editorial Novaro in Mexico starting in the 1950s. The series focused on dramatizing the lives of historical figures, ranging from scientists and world leaders to artists and religious icons, aiming to make educational content accessible to a wide Spanish-speaking audience through the medium of the photo-comic and traditional illustration.

Issue #172, released in the 1960s, follows the established editorial style of the series, which prioritized a clear, didactic narrative structure often paired with dramatic, classic illustrative techniques. While the specific creative credits for every issue in this prolific series are often obscured by house styles and editorial anonymity, the series as a whole remains a significant artifact of mid-century Mexican pop culture and mass-market publishing.
