Viz #360

Viz magazine, a British adult comic publication, has been a staple of counter-culture satire since it was founded by Chris Donald in 1979. Created in Newcastle, the magazine rose to national prominence by subverting traditional comic tropes with crude humor, surreal storytelling, and biting social commentary. It became a cultural touchstone during the 1980s and 1990s, offering a gritty, unfiltered alternative to the polished media of the era.

Issue #360 was released in 2024 as part of the magazine's long-running efforts to maintain its signature irreverent brand in the digital age. Like its predecessors, the issue utilizes the magazine's distinctive house style—characterized by rough, caricature-heavy illustrations and satirical strips such as The Fat Slags or Roger Mellie—to lampoon contemporary British politics and celebrity culture. It represents the ongoing evolution of a publication that has survived for over four decades by balancing legacy characters with evolving, often absurd, social observations.
