Walt Disney Daisy and Donald #11

Released by Dell Comics in 1952, Daisy and Donald #11 emerged during a prolific period for Disney-licensed comic books. These titles were part of Dell's Four Color series and subsequent self-titled runs, which were intended to capitalize on the immense popularity of Disney’s animated shorts. The issue served as a vehicle for the whimsical, domestic-adjacent comedy that defined the duo's relationship, offering readers an accessible format that mirrored the tone and pacing of the popular theatrical cartoons of the era.

The creative direction for these issues often drew upon the house style established by the Disney animation studios, though specific artist credits were rarely attributed at the time. These comics focused on the comedic friction between Donald's volatile temper and Daisy's refined, patient exterior. Within the broader context of the 1950s comic market, this series helped solidify the characters as literary icons, receiving a positive reception from a younger audience and providing a recurring, lighthearted narrative space that remained a staple of the Dell and later Gold Key Disney publishing lines.
