Weekly Young Magazine #2601

Weekly Young Magazine is a long-running seinen manga anthology published by Kodansha, catering primarily to an adult male demographic. Issue 2601 represents a specific entry in this weekly serial format, which has been a pillar of the Japanese manga industry since its debut in 1980. These magazines are designed as disposable periodicals, featuring a collection of ongoing series that are later compiled into tankobon volumes.

The editorial direction for this publication is curated to balance gritty realism, action, and experimental storytelling, often showcasing the work of renowned mangaka. The design language of the magazine focuses on high-impact cover art—often featuring gravure idols or prominent series protagonists—intended to catch the eye of commuters at newsstands. Like most issues of its era, issue 2601 serves as a snapshot of the cultural trends and manga shifts occurring during its specific week of publication.
