Wonder Woman #157

Wonder Woman #157 was published by DC Comics in October 1965 during a transformative period for the character. This era of the series, edited by Robert Kanigher, often featured experimental science-fiction themes and whimsical narratives. The issue is noted for its cover art and interior work by long-time series illustrator Ross Andru and inker Mike Esposito, who were instrumental in defining the visual language of the Silver Age Wonder Woman adventures.

The story within this issue reflects the mid-sixties shift toward high-concept, space-faring scenarios, a common trend across DC titles at the time to maintain reader interest. As part of the wider Silver Age canon, the issue contributes to the established lore of the Amazonian princess before the character's eventual transition into the more grounded, mod-inspired 'Diana Prince' era that would occur a few years later. It remains a representative example of the stylistic direction the creative team took during this specific mid-decade run.
