Wonder Woman #29

Wonder Woman number 29 was published in May 1948 by DC Comics during the Golden Age of comic books. At this time, the character was guided by the vision of creator William Moulton Marston, though his passing in 1947 meant the stories were beginning to shift in tone and narrative structure under the direction of the editorial team at All-American Publications.

The cover and interior art for this issue are attributed to Harry G. Peter, the primary artist for the series during its early years. Peter's distinct, idiosyncratic style—characterized by bold lines and a classical approach to character anatomy—defined the visual identity of the Amazon princess. This issue, like many from the late 1940s, contributed to the character's long-term endurance, maintaining her status as a staple of the DC lineup even as the initial wartime context of the series evolved.
