Wonder Woman Annual #8

Wonder Woman Annual #8 was published in 1982 by DC Comics, arriving during a transitional era for the character. This issue is notable for its 'lost' story featuring the Justice League of America, serving as a nostalgic bridge to the classic Silver Age sensibilities of the superhero team. It was produced at a time when DC was experimenting with larger, anthology-style annual formats to provide readers with standalone narratives that deviated from the ongoing monthly series.

The creative direction for this annual focused on ensemble storytelling, emphasizing the collaborative dynamic of the Justice League. The editorial goal was to provide a substantial, self-contained adventure that would appeal to long-time readers and those looking for a complete saga within a single volume. The issue is regarded by collectors as a representative example of early 1980s DC house style, characterized by its traditional panel layout and the character designs prevalent before the massive continuity resets of the mid-1980s.
