Xena: Warrior Princess #12

Released in the late 1990s by Topps Comics, Xena: Warrior Princess #12 arrived during the height of the television series' global popularity. The comic series sought to expand upon the mythology established on screen, often bridging gaps between episodes or exploring the adventurous tone that made the show a cult phenomenon. As the twelfth entry in the run, this issue continued the tradition of translating the dynamic action and character-driven narratives of the show into a serialized printed medium.

The creative direction for this series relied heavily on the established aesthetic of the television production, utilizing photographic covers or stylized illustrations that mirrored the lead actors. These issues were designed for fans looking to deepen their engagement with Xena's journey across ancient Greece. While the series was aimed directly at the established viewership, the writing and art teams worked to maintain a balance between standalone adventure and the broader, serialized character arcs that defined the show's later seasons.
