Yāoguài Qūgōngsuǒ #3

Yāoguài Qūgōngsuǒ, or The Monster Elimination Bureau, emerged during the late twentieth-century boom of manhua in Taiwan. This series was crafted as part of a wider cultural movement that sought to blend traditional Chinese folklore and mythological creatures with modern storytelling sensibilities, often utilizing a dark, atmospheric artistic style that resonated with readers looking for more mature themes in their comic books.

The third issue of this series continues the narrative arc established by its creators, who focused on intricate character designs and paneling that emphasized the eerie nature of the creatures being hunted. While the series remains a niche interest outside of its original publishing region, it is regarded by enthusiasts of regional comics as a significant example of the creative experimentation occurring within the Taiwanese industry during that era.
