Yosemite Sam #75

Yosemite Sam #75 was published by Gold Key Comics during the 1970s, a period when the publisher held the licensing rights to bring classic Looney Tunes characters into their own dedicated comic book titles. This era was characterized by a shift toward more episodic, lighthearted adventures tailored for younger readers, moving away from the more frantic energy of the original theatrical shorts while maintaining the distinctive visual identities established by the Warner Bros. animation studio.

The design and illustration of these issues followed the established model sheets provided by the animation house, ensuring that the characters remained visually consistent with their screen counterparts. While these comics were intended as affordable entertainment rather than high art, they are now preserved by collectors as artifacts of mid-century licensed character merchandising, reflecting a time when Saturday morning cartoon icons were heavily integrated into the newsstand comic book landscape.
