Young King OURs #386

Young King OURs is a long-running Japanese seinen manga magazine published by Shonengahosha, first appearing in the mid-1990s as a spinoff of the weekly Young King. It carved out a distinct niche in the industry by favoring experimental, auteur-driven storytelling and intricate world-building over the more conventional tropes of mainstream shonen titles. The magazine is noted for its high-quality paper stock and its commitment to hosting prestige series that often push the boundaries of genre convention.

Issue #386 arrives as part of the magazine's decades-long legacy of blending dark fantasy, science fiction, and seinen drama. Throughout its history, the editorial team has prioritized artists with singular visual identities, such as Kouta Hirano and Masakazu Ishiguro, fostering an environment where serialized works could evolve into cult classics. The magazine’s design aesthetic reflects this commitment to artistic integrity, consistently featuring bold, illustrative cover art that serves to highlight the featured mangaka's individual style within the broader context of the publication.
