Emeritus Scolding

Emeritus Scolding was released as part of the Local Game Store (LGS) Promo series, a program designed to bolster the physical hobby scene by rewarding players who participate in sanctioned events at brick-and-mortar retailers. These cards serve as both functional game pieces and collectable tokens of community engagement, often featuring unique card treatments that distinguish them from standard set releases.

The design of this specific card reflects the typical aesthetic conventions of the series, prioritizing clear, thematic art that resonates with the core player base. While the individual illustrator is often credited within the card's frame in keeping with industry standards, the series itself is curated by the publisher's art department to maintain stylistic consistency across the promotional cycle. It was received by the community as a staple incentive for consistent tournament attendance.
