Where it came from
The Herald of Tenacity was released as part of the Local Game Store Promos program, a strategic initiative by publishers to bolster the brick-and-mortar hobby shop ecosystem. By distributing exclusive, limited-run variants of functional gameplay cards, developers encourage players to engage with their local play spaces and support independent retailers rather than relying solely on online marketplaces. This specific card, identified as LGS175, functions as an action card within the broader game's mechanical framework, designed to reward players for sustained defensive play.
The visual design of the Herald of Tenacity was crafted to align with the aesthetic hallmarks of the high-fantasy setting of the base game, utilizing a distinct foil treatment typical of promotional prints. The art direction emphasizes a theme of resilience and stoicism, intended to visually represent the card’s strategic utility. Upon its arrival at participating hobby stores, the card was received as a standard utility inclusion, valued by collectors for its status as a store-exclusive variant while serving as a functional tool for competitive players looking to optimize their decks.
