Herald of Tenacity

The Herald of Tenacity was released as part of a recurring series of promotional cards distributed through the Wizards of the Coast Local Game Store (LGS) program. These cards were specifically created to incentivize physical play and support local independent game shops, often serving as rewards for participation in specific in-store events or league play. By tethering exclusive game pieces to brick-and-mortar storefronts, the company aimed to bolster community engagement and maintain the viability of local gaming hubs in an increasingly digital hobby space.

The design of the card reflects the aesthetic standards of modern fantasy tabletop gaming, characterized by high-contrast digital illustration and a focus on mechanical clarity to ensure it remains balanced within the broader game ecosystem. As a promotional rarity, it serves as a collector’s hallmark for dedicated players who frequent tournament scenes. While these cards are generally well-received by the player base for their utility and distinct visual flair, they remain primarily functional components of the game rather than traditional luxury collectibles, prioritizing consistency with the main set's thematic identity.
