Illuminate

Illuminate was released as part of the Prism Blitz Deck in the Flesh and Blood trading card game. Developed by Legend Story Studios and first introduced in 2019, the game was designed by James White to emphasize a fast-paced, tactical combat experience that blends traditional card mechanics with the depth of a tabletop role-playing game. The Prism Blitz Deck was crafted specifically to introduce players to the Light talent and the Illusionist class, providing a curated experience that balances offense and defense through the game's unique pitch system.

The card's design aesthetic mirrors the ethereal and celestial themes characteristic of the Volthaven region within the game's lore. The artwork emphasizes the high-fantasy motifs associated with the Light element, utilizing bright, spectral visuals to signify its function as an action card. As a common rarity card, Illuminate serves as a fundamental building block for players learning to manage the nuanced resource requirements of the Illusionist class, helping them establish a board state while adhering to the core tenets of the deck's strategic identity.
