Where it came from
Rising Speed was released as part of the Kassai Blitz Deck for the Flesh and Blood trading card game. Developed by Legend Story Studios and first introduced in 2019, the game was designed by James White to merge the strategic depth of traditional tabletop games with the collectability of modern trading card games. This specific card was crafted to support the playstyle of the hero Kassai, Cintari Sellsword, emphasizing the high-energy, combat-oriented themes inherent in her warrior-based deck.
The visual design of the card, featuring artwork by the studio's creative team, aims to capture the kinetic intensity of arena combat. As a common action card within a dedicated Blitz product, it serves as a functional utility piece meant to facilitate specific tactical sequences rather than acting as a centerpiece rarity. Within the broader community, these cards are recognized for their role in defining the accessibility and speed of the Blitz format, which was developed to offer players a faster, more approachable entry point into the game's complex rule system.
