Lore

Why it matters

As the central hero of the Bright Lights expansion, Teklovossen introduced the unique Evo-based gameplay style that defines the Mechanologist class in Flesh and Blood. While cards categorized as tokens are generally accessible, this specific identity is essential for players looking to explore the character's signature ability to upgrade his armor throughout the game.

Provenance

Where it came from

Teklovossen was introduced in the 2023 Flesh and Blood set titled Bright Lights. The card represents a primary hero character within the Mechanologist class, reflecting the set's thematic focus on the industrial, neon-drenched cityscape of Metrix. As an evolution-based hero, the character design emphasizes the fusion of technology and biology, serving as a centerpiece for the set's core mechanics involving equipment upgrades.

The card’s visual direction was overseen by the Legend Story Studios creative team to evoke a sense of high-tech progression and cold calculation. It was designed to anchor the 'Evo' equipment playstyle, encouraging players to cycle through gear to mimic the character's transformative nature. Upon its release, it was well-received by the competitive community for providing a distinct strategic identity that differed significantly from existing Mechanologist heroes like Dash.
