Where it came from
Anders 'Ders' Holmvik is a character from the Comedy Central sitcom Workaholics, which premiered in 2011. The show centered on three college dropouts living together in Rancho Cucamonga, California, and captured the absurdity of the post-college slacker culture. Funko released the Pop! Television line for the series to capitalize on the show's cult following and the distinct, comedic character tropes represented by the main trio.
The figure, numbered 493, was designed in the signature Funko aesthetic featuring a stylized head and simplified proportions. It depicts Anders in his quintessential workplace attire, reflecting his often-failed attempts to be the professional and ambitious member of the group. As part of the wider Workaholics collection, the figure was aimed at fans looking to commemorate the show's specific brand of irreverent humor and its place in mid-2010s television culture.
