Baby Milo (Bait)

Baby Milo is the iconic mascot character created by the Japanese streetwear legend Nigo for his brand, A Bathing Ape, known globally as BAPE. The character was designed to embody the playful, youthful aesthetic of Harajuku street culture, often depicted as a cartoonish, wide-eyed monkey. This specific figure was produced as part of a collaboration with the lifestyle retailer BAIT, bringing the high-fashion streetwear motif into the recognizable stylized vinyl format of the Pop! vinyl line.

The collaboration aimed to bridge the gap between niche streetwear collectors and the broader designer toy market. By stripping the complex apparel of BAPE down to a simplified, monochromatic form, the design emphasized the character's recognizable silhouette. The release was well-received by fans of both brands, serving as a gateway piece for those who admire the intersection of Japanese pop art, hip-hop culture, and contemporary collectible vinyl manufacturing.
