Batman (Darkest Night)

The Batman (Darkest Night) Pop! figure, numbered 4 in the DC Heroes line, was released during the early years of the Funko Pop! brand. It draws direct inspiration from the Blackest Night storyline in DC Comics, specifically representing Batman’s brief and haunting tenure as a member of the Black Lantern Corps. The aesthetic captures the undead, macabre visual language of the event, featuring the iconic black-and-grey color scheme and the distinctive symbol of the Black Lantern power ring.

The design follows the signature stylized proportions of the Funko Pop! Heroes series, which sought to translate complex comic book character designs into a simplified, uniform vinyl format. At the time of its release, the figure was part of a broader effort to expand the Heroes collection to include niche storylines and variant iterations of core characters. It was well-received by collectors who appreciated the nod to specific comic arcs, serving as a darker, atmospheric contrast to the standard Batman releases in the early wave.
