Beth Harmon

Beth Harmon, identified as Pop number 1122, was released by Funko as part of their Pop! Television line following the massive success of the 2020 Netflix limited series, The Queen's Gambit. The figure depicts the protagonist in her iconic 1960s-inspired ensemble, capturing the aesthetic transition of the character as she rises through the ranks of the professional chess world. It serves as a stylized homage to Anya Taylor-Joy's acclaimed portrayal of the complex and brilliant chess prodigy.

The design draws heavily from the costume department’s work on the show, emphasizing the character's signature ginger hair and her penchant for structured, mid-century silhouettes. Funko designers aimed to distill the intellectual intensity of the series into the brand's standard vinyl format, focusing on the recognizable silhouette of the character rather than realistic portraiture. Upon its release, the figure was well-received by collectors who sought to commemorate the show's cultural impact and its revival of interest in the game of chess.
