Where it came from
The Black Hand Pop! figure, numbered 384 in the Pop! Heroes line, is inspired by the iconic DC Comics supervillain William Hand. First appearing in 1964, the character evolved significantly during the 2009 'Blackest Night' event, where he became the living vessel for Nekron and the herald of the Black Lantern Corps. Funko designed this figure to capture his sinister aesthetic, focusing on his signature dark attire and the distinctive power ring that allows him to command the undead.
The design draws heavily from the artistic interpretations of Ivan Reis, who defined the modern visual identity of the Black Lanterns during Geoff Johns' run on the Green Lantern series. Collectors generally value this piece for its inclusion in the broader Blackest Night sub-line, which sought to translate the grim, high-stakes atmosphere of the comic event into the stylized, compact format of the Funko brand. It serves as a representation of one of DC's most formidable cosmic threats.
