Where it came from
Released as part of the Funko Pop! Marvel line, this figure depicts the dhampir vampire hunter Blade. As a Previews Exclusive, it was distributed specifically through the Diamond Comic Distributors network, which traditionally caters to independent comic book shops rather than mass-market retailers. This release strategy was intended to provide dedicated fans and comic collectors with a variant that emphasized the character’s gritty, noir-inspired roots in the Marvel Universe.
The figure design follows the standard Pop! aesthetic, characterized by a stylized oversized head and compact body. It captures the character’s iconic trench coat and signature sunglasses, drawing visual inspiration from his classic comic book appearance. Upon release, the figure was well-received by collectors of the Marvel series, specifically those focusing on the more obscure or supernatural corner of the brand's expansive roster.
