Where it came from
Released as part of the Pop! Games series, this figure depicts Blanka, the iconic feral fighter from the Street Fighter franchise. The figure specifically captures his appearance from the classic Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting iteration, identifiable by his vibrant green skin, signature orange hair, and orange shackles. It was produced by Funko to commemorate the enduring legacy of the Capcom fighting game series, which defined the genre throughout the 1990s and remains a staple of competitive gaming culture.
The design follows Funko's established aesthetic of oversized heads and simplified, stylized features, aiming to translate Blanka’s aggressive, monster-like silhouette into their collectible vinyl format. By focusing on his distinct color palette and battle-ready stance, the design team sought to evoke the nostalgic feel of 16-bit arcade cabinets. Upon release, the figure was well-received by fans of both the Street Fighter series and modern vinyl toy collectors, serving as a popular entry in the extensive lineup of video game-themed Funko Pops.
