Where it came from
Brave Heart Lion is a central character from the Care Bears Cousins, a spin-off franchise introduced in the mid-1980s to expand the Care Bears universe. Designed as a brave and adventurous leader for the cousins, the character was created by Those Characters from Cleveland, a division of American Greetings, to bolster the merchandising success of the brand during its initial peak.
The Funko Pop! iteration, number 1713 in the Animation series, reflects the modern collector-focused aesthetic of Funko's stylized vinyl figures. The design maintains the character's signature tan fur and the distinct heart-shaped mane emblem, aiming to evoke nostalgia for 1980s animation fans while fitting within the standardized Pop! silhouette.
