Where it came from
The Funko Pop! figure of Dr. Martin Brenner, numbered 515 in the Television series, was released in 2017 to coincide with the expanding popularity of the Netflix science fiction horror series Stranger Things. Produced during the height of the show's initial cultural phenomenon, the figure depicts the enigmatic scientist who serves as the primary antagonist of the first season. It represents a key character in the series' lore, capturing his clinical appearance and reserved demeanor.
The design of the figure follows Funko's signature aesthetic, featuring a stylized oversized head and simplified bodily proportions typical of the Pop! vinyl line. It was crafted to appeal to fans of the show's dark, 1980s-inspired atmosphere, focusing on recognizable character traits such as his suit and stoic expression. Like many early releases in the Stranger Things collection, it was intended to serve as a collectible representation of the series' core mystery and scientific intrigue.
